The exhibition explores the fusion of machine-knitted structures and bioplastics, accompanied by light and sound, inviting visitors to a sensory immersion into the mysterious realm. The exhibition showcases the transformative power of technology and nature coming together under the ethereal glow of the full moon.
This project began with a curiosity to develop a new type of sustainable material with the potential to be used as a textile in the fashion industry. During our residency we explored the possibilities of how different knit structures and yarn compositions could be manipulated when immersed in bioplastic. The symbiosis between the materials creates a unique look that reflects the resilience of nature and the adaptability of man-made materials.
The light and sound design brings the exhibition together as an immersive art installation where the atmosphere blurs the line between reality and fantasy, inviting us into a reflective space and encouraging us to consider the implications of this fusion on our understanding of sustainability, craftsmanship and the delicate balance between the synthetic and the organic.
"Luminescent Lunar is a sensorial celebration of innovation, collaboration and the beauty that emerges when machine-knitted structures and bioplastics dance together under the watchful gaze of the full moon.
