In our research into bioplastics, we looked at various plant-based recipes using ingredients such as corn starch, agar agar and alginate. To enhance their properties, we incorporated spirulina, food colouring and repurposed food waste such as clementine peel and seaweed powder. Through further experimentation, we experimentes with different textures by adding yarns and threads into the bioplastic, creating unique and versatile structures. This project addresses environmental concerns, but also opens up possibilities for sustainable and visually appealing bioplastic applications.
